Dan & Ailla shared an intimate ceremony surrounded by friends and family at the quaint and brightly lit Federated Church in my hometown of Brooklyn, CT.
Ailla and Dan first met while Dan was working as a forest ranger at Goodwin State Forest located in Hampton just a few miles from where they exchanged vows.
It made perfect sense that the forest was chosen as the backdrop for their bridal pictures. The gardens and expansive forest were a great fit for their vintage and rustic style wedding.
Ailla's dress was a vintage lace, and her girls wore navy A-line full length dresses. The boys kept it rustic, ditching suits for khakis and suspenders.
Sunflowers were the flower of choice, and they really helped to capture the carefree relaxed feeling of the day.
Dan & Ailla hosted their reception at an old family farm. The once working barn was transformed into an intimate space, with twinkle lights, handmade benches and plenty of charm.
Dinner was served family style and featured some downhome cuisine. Fresh salad, mashed potatoes, and a pig roast that melted in your mouth.
Besides the great location and delicious food, the thing I will remember most about this wedding was this loving, soft spoken couple who so perfectly suited one another.
Dan and Ailla were gracious hosts and it was a pleasure to work with them.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
