Kristen & Glen enjoyed a perfect day with friends and family, with warm weather and a bright sky. The English garden at Wickham park in Manchester Connecticut is filled with spots perfect for wedding photos.  The flowers, brick pathways and the architecture around the park make an amazing backdrop. I had a great time photographing the various spots with this amazing bride and groom. 
​Glenn and Kristen first met at the age of 6 when Kristen's grandfather was dating her Nana, who lived across the street from Glenn's parents.  For the next few years Kristen would visit every couple weeks, and when visiting, she would play with the boy next door.
​Fast forward 22 years later Kristen started dating and falling in love with this great guy she met at work, Glenn.
​Turns out this amazing guy was the same little boy she use to play with so long ago. They were both shocked to say the least!
​Kristen never believed in soulmates, until then.
​Now they enjoy cooking delicious food and watching their favorite football team, The Patriots. (screw you Goodell!)
​Aside from football, Kristen and Glenn also enjoy bowling, scenic drives with some great tunes, and Saturday nights at the New London Waterford Speedbowl.
​
​Their wedding day festivities started off at the Residence Inn & Suites in Manchester, CT. Kristen and Glenn were in separate rooms just a few door apart. The girls were piled in the room, music playing and shuffling in and out of the bathroom as the girls prepared for the ceremony. The room was a buzz of laughter and anticipation, while Kristen sat quietly as her hair and makeup crew completed her wedding day vision.
​Glenn's room was the exact opposite. When I arrived he sat alone finishing up his hand written vows, no music and the only source of light coming from the single large window of his room. The serenity of the room was short lived as each of his groomsmen arrived with beer in hand, and soon the room was filled with talk, not so much of the wedding, but rather of last nights race.
​After a brief first look, no look, with Kristen and Glenn, we were off to Wickham Park for the wedding day ceremony.

​It was an emotional walk down the aisle as Kristen, accompanied by her grandfather, approached a tearful Glenn.
​The ceremony was equally emotional as Kristen and Glenn exchanged their hand written vows to each other.

​After the ceremony we finished up at Wickham Park with bridal party photos, then it was off to Georgina's Banquet Facility in Bolton, CT for the reception.
​Glenn & Kristen's reception featured amazing food and a touching surprise dance with Kristen and her father.
​Some dancing broke out late in the night as the guests attempted to work off the four course meal. 
​
