We've been waiting for this wedding for what seems like a lifetime.  When we first met with Jenn to discuss her wedding over drinks at the Willimantic Brewery, her venue was little more than a plan and a vision. I think we were both excited to see how the whole thing would come together. 
Not too many people have the ability to roll the dice and see a venue for what it will be, rather than what it currently is. I think this speaks to the type of people Jennifer and Patrick are. They are down to earth, easy going, and are all about friends and family.
 
What came together for the wedding blew our minds. Rustic elegance is how I would describe it. Felt like a property out in the mid west. Maybe Montana? The actual barn is rustic, elegant with its amazing chandeliers, and even has some industrial elements. All of the little details were so on point, and options for the guests to enjoy were endless. From the custom made corn hole games, to the fire pit for roasting marshmallows, to the outdoor living room comprised of antique furniture. Perfect spaces for conversations to happen.
Stonehurst also has a kick butt sound system that DJ Marty was absolutely loving. Whether inside or outside you could hear the tunes.  To top it all off The Black Dog Cafe's pizza truck arrived later in the night to satisfy the late night cravings.
I think guests could have spent the weekend on this property and have had plenty to keep them entertained. 

The ceremony site was beautiful with its quaint custom made pavilion situated on the side of a babbling brook in a little copse of tall trees. One especially fun highlight was the appearance of Jenn and Pat's two fur puppies who walked down the aisle ahead of Jennifer. 

The floral arrangements around the barn were simple and elegant on the custom made farm tables where guests got to enjoy an amazingly delicious meal. 
The party was loud and the dance floor was never empty, and yet there were just as many guests enjoying the fire pit, photo booth, and pizza! What a great day!
