This engagement season has been a bit of a scheduling nightmare. Seattle weather has settled on Connecticut and even the sunniest of starts turns into rainy afternoons.
The initial date we chose rained out and we decided to give June 2nd a try. The day started out beautiful. But, being New England we had an afternoon curve ball. On my drive over to the vineyard the sky darkened, flashes of lightning and torrential rain pounded my windshield. We kept our fingers crossed that this rain would pass and we would have dry conditions for the shoot.

I met with Alex and Chris at the Priam Vineyard, which will also host their wedding. Its a beautiful spot with a dramatic overlook at the top of a hill where they will exchange their vows.
We of course had to try a little sampling of the vineyards wine before heading out on our adventure.
Luckily the sky cleared and left us with these large billowing clouds and peaks of the late day glowing sun. 

It was great to see Chris and Alex interact with each other. They are fun loving and down to earth and I hope their natural personalities are seen in the images.

I can't wait to shoot this wedding. I'm sure it will be an adventure not to be missed and I'm honored they chose us to document their special day.
