We love rustic, boho style weddings with open fields at sunset, but at the same time we are never content shooting one particular style of wedding.
I think the great thing about our particular style of shooting is that it can transcend a variety of themes and styles.
We wanted to show our cinematic, film throw back style in a city environment.
We quickly settled on a vintage Hollywood glam theme.
We wanted to capture that dramatic, cool kids club feeling you get when looking at retro Hollywood photographs.
Generally speaking, when shooting weddings we try and keep that 'natural' romantic feeling that isn't too forced. Nothing about Hollywood glam is unforced or natural.
Every look and photograph is an overemphasis on romance and vogue, in a "I couldn't care less" kind of way.
We decided to shoot at City Hall in Hartford, Connecticut because of it retro grand architecture.
The marble spiral staircases and its grand atrium make it feel like the perfect backdrop for an old Hollywood style bash.
The gold elevators and revolving doors were perfect nooks for romantic, dramatic photos.
We wouldn't have been able to do any of this without the help of so many great people.
Lauren and her mom Melanie at Julie Allen Bridals, in quaint Newtown, Connecticut were on point in pulling us a lace Marisa Bridal dress
with just the right amount of vintage pearls, crystals, and layers of lace with a champagne underlay.
Jade, from Jade Silvestri Hair & Makeup Co. brought our vision home with styling and make-up that looked ultra dramatic.
Another thank you to Gilded Shadows for delivering a vintage birdcage veil for the perfect finishing touch.
Kelly, from Dainty Fields, whose Connecticut family farm is the foundation for her whimsical floral creations went the extra mile in creating a red ranunculus bouquet, with pops of berries and chocolate cosmos.
Of course the replica 1924 Mercedes was a show stopper and brought the whole thing home.
Thank you to Emily who was a trooper and drove this open air car from Waterbury to Hartford, in the rain, with no working heat!
She has a great assortment of cars for anyone who wants to add a little something extra to their wedding photos. You can contact her at:

Last but not least thank you to our models, Skyla & Brooks who were so willing and ready for anything we threw at them!
